Vernal Falls along the Hike. I had no idea that it was going to be such a beautiful hike.
(I've just heard of Half Dome and wanted to hike it)
On the Sub-Dome
Notice: the Ranger there who has a Gun. You now need a permit climb the cables going all the way up. It was too icy that day anyway. Although 3 people from Germany were going up the cables and the ranger wrote down what they were wearing and family phone numbers to notify in case they take the plunge.
It's still well worth it to go without permits.
It took about 10 nonchalant hours to go there and back to our car = totaling 14 miles
