August was crazy!!! We went to Yosemite, the Stanislaus County Fair, Trent started teaching, Taven went on his first airplane ride on our trip to St. Maries, We all got sick, and the finale: Trent and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary!! We forgot our camera for that one... So Sorry :( I guess I'll just have to tell you about it. I surprised Trent with a mini fridge full of goodies and a microwave for his classroom, and he surprised me with flowers, a new shirt (the one above), and a trip on the Sierra Railroad (which is a way awesome dinner train that goes through the sierra foothills and serves a four course gourmet meal!) It was fun to have a night out with just Trent and I and it was totally romantic!!!!
We met up with Trent's uncle Keith and aunt Linda at Yosemite. They treated us to the nicest restaurant there: The Ahwahnee! We went on a few trails and opted not to hike up to the top of Yosemite Falls with Taven so that he wouldn't get fried from the sun! We'll save that for a different trip when he is older:)
Taven loved, I mean LOVED the fair. He didn't sleep and he barely ate he was so distracted. He just smiled and looked around all night! He absolutely loves to be out and about doing new things- he's a Duffey alright!
Taven did awesome on his first airplane ride to St. Maries, Idaho to see grandma and grandpa Duffey. Beth & Travis, Sheree, Stephen & Kyson were all there too. We all had a blast seeing everyone, playing at the cabin and in the lake, visiting Coeur d'alene, and almost sinking a pontoon boat on the St. Joe River. Talk about a fun trip!
Taven started eating solids and he is getting fatter and fatter by the day. He weighs in at 17 lb 9 oz and 25 in long (or at least he did three weeks ago at his last Dr. visit). He also learned how to 'bounce' in his little bouncer... It is sooo cute- Trent and I always get a good laugh out of watching him:)

Yes! Keven said that Trent said you'd update the blog! hooray! taven is so frickin cute! trent said he's a big boy, but he's not obese! i love it! he has the right rolls everywhere! so cute! we should come up to yosemite and we'll meet up with you guys sometime! i love duffey's classroom too! what grade is he teaching again? did HE do the bulletin boards?! Not too shabby! the best part is the AGGIE FLAG! HOLLA! well we miss you guys! love you!

It looks like dispite the busy month you had a great month. I am glad you updated but I know how it can get sometimes. Taven is getting so big. He is almost the same size as Jane. Crazy. You Duffeys have big kids. Good thing they start out small. ;D Hopefully we'll have one of own one day. I can't wait to read more about school for Trent and the happenings in your home.
You guys are the cutest ever. I miss you.
