here's a video of taven's new sounds...

Taven started doing this razzing thing a little while ago... but now he doesn't

anymore- That's how slow I am at updating our blog! His new thing now is popping

his jaw- It totally weirds me out!! Maybe later I will get a video clip of that?

We'll see... by then, he'll probably be on to something new.

just like dad...

Taven just hates his nebulizer...

Taven after Trent feeds him...

Taven seems to remind me more and more of Trent each day. They have so much fun playing together. He is nothing but smiles.... oh and messes:) He got pretty sick mid month and so we had to do this breathing treatment thing on him to loosen his congestion- he hates it as I am sure you can see from the pictures. Luckily, we only had to do it a few times. Aside of that, not much is new. Taven is sitting really well, still puts everything in his mouth, loves to eat "real" foods and has started to do this new thing lately where he buzzes his lips and spits at the same time- it is surprisingly entertaining....

happy halloween!

Frankenstein after washing off half his face paint

Pest Control, Pest, Witch, Dorothy, the Scarecrow and Cowardly Lion

Boooo!!!!

Parents..Pest Control....Same thing right?

Halloween was really fun this year. Trent was Frankenstein for school and he and I dressed up like pest control people and Taven was our little pest (a bee) for our ward party. He did awesome staying up late and was surprisingly willing to wear that annoying costume. Our ward party was out at one of the member's farms- it had a chili cook off, haunted house, bon fire, and trunk-or-treat. After the ward party, the Davidson's (dressed as Dorothy and crew from the Wizard of Oz) and us split a babysitter and went out to a friend's halloween party. We stayed up way too late and way too much fun... I'm still paying for it!!!!! Weird how you have a kid and suddenly 2:00 am is a lot later than it used to be. I am still tired:)

this past month...

This past month was pretty melo for us. We celebrated my 23rd birthday, saved $170 on our car insurance, finally bought food storage, trimmed the front trees, redid the front planter, I went to time out for women and Trent got two tickets. That is the long way of saying that we're now broke... Ha ha ha! Just Joking...

Aside of all that.... what else is new? Well, of course Taven is growing like a weed as you can see, and Trent and I had our first weekend in a long time where we didn't have anything planned- It was great! We of course ended up going yard sale-ing (how do you spell that?), working outside for 5 hours or so, spring cleaning the house and then going to a football party... but that is a duffey idea of 'nothing to do' for the weekend :) I guess it is a good thing that we seem to kinda always be on the go, because Taven just loves it! That kid is going to be, and already is, crazy fun just like his dad:)

August was crazy!!! We went to Yosemite, the Stanislaus County Fair, Trent started teaching, Taven went on his first airplane ride on our trip to St. Maries, We all got sick, and the finale: Trent and I celebrated our 2nd anniversary!! We forgot our camera for that one... So Sorry :( I guess I'll just have to tell you about it. I surprised Trent with a mini fridge full of goodies and a microwave for his classroom, and he surprised me with flowers, a new shirt (the one above), and a trip on the Sierra Railroad (which is a way awesome dinner train that goes through the sierra foothills and serves a four course gourmet meal!) It was fun to have a night out with just Trent and I and it was totally romantic!!!!

We met up with Trent's uncle Keith and aunt Linda at Yosemite. They treated us to the nicest restaurant there: The Ahwahnee! We went on a few trails and opted not to hike up to the top of Yosemite Falls with Taven so that he wouldn't get fried from the sun! We'll save that for a different trip when he is older:)

Taven loved, I mean LOVED the fair. He didn't sleep and he barely ate he was so distracted. He just smiled and looked around all night! He absolutely loves to be out and about doing new things- he's a Duffey alright!

Taven did awesome on his first airplane ride to St. Maries, Idaho to see grandma and grandpa Duffey. Beth & Travis, Sheree, Stephen & Kyson were all there too. We all had a blast seeing everyone, playing at the cabin and in the lake, visiting Coeur d'alene, and almost sinking a pontoon boat on the St. Joe River. Talk about a fun trip!

Taven started eating solids and he is getting fatter and fatter by the day. He weighs in at 17 lb 9 oz and 25 in long (or at least he did three weeks ago at his last Dr. visit). He also learned how to 'bounce' in his little bouncer... It is sooo cute- Trent and I always get a good laugh out of watching him:)
